COG LCD: flache Text und Grafikdisplays mit gelb/rot/blau/grün/weiß beleuchtung

EA DOGS102W-6

This display series was specially developed for
low-power hand-held applications.
For the first time it is possible to operate
a standard display at 3.3V!
The optionally available LED backlighting can also be run
with 3.3V or 5V. The preferred interface is the SPI bus.
In the mean time are a lot different character and
graphic displays available.

Serial and parallel microcontroller interfaces for EA DOG display modules

The EA DOG displays are designed do provide parallel and serial interfaces for any microcontroller, for example 4-bit, 8-bit, I2C and SPI mode. Soem of the EA DOG displays, manufactured by ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY can be driven in 4-bit or 8-bit mode or serial with SPI. Then there is a I2C mode for some other displays. The I²C bus interface makes it possible that two displays may run by one I²C bus. If a SPI bus is on the PCB the DOG display can be connented in serial mode. All DOG graphics displays do provide SPI interface to match the needs of less pins for the most microcontroller.

Backlight: for an optimal adjustment on the system voltage there are two or three LED pathes available for the monochrome backlights. They can be switched in parallel or serial. Independendly they do provide a bright and even backlight illumination for the display.

Those features are available for displays with 1x8 (character) up to 4x20 and 102x64 to 240x128 dots. There is also a test board EA 9780-3USB for PC / USB available same as a simulator software for Windows.
