Almost all displays today are made using LCD touch panels technology. An LCD touch display consists of 2 glass plates and a liquid in between. TFT touch displays are also LCD touch panel displays, only extended by a color filter and active control via transistor. There are many different versions: text, graphics, 7-segment and icon-based versions. The 7-segment display was an early form of LCD touch displays and was installed in calculators and watches.
