Video input / Camera

The module has a analogue video input supporting three color systems: PAL (Phase-Alternating-Line), Secam (Séquentiel couleur à mémoire) and NTSC (National Television Systems Committee). The selection between PAL/SECAM/NTSC is done automatically.

Most digital cameras and video cameras have a matching interface, as do most CMOS cameras. The resolution is limited to 720x576 (PAL and SECAM), and 640x480 (NTSC) pixels. The input is also known as composite video signal input. Both required inputs can be connected to gold-plated solder pads located next to pin 27 (see rear view of the module).

The video image is displayed as a separate object and always shows the current live image (#PVP). It is possible to take screen shots of the video image (#XVS), but recording or playing a movie using the SD Card is not supported.
